[2023 RYUKYU COLLECTION #2]

The second in a new series of "RYUKYU COLLECTION" series that expresses the "culture, nature, and spirit" of Okinawa with aloha.

Aloha shirt with a back panel pattern featuring an illustration of a dancer printed on the back, based on the theme of Ryukyuan dance, a traditional Okinawan performing art. The artwork was created by TK, a tattoo artist based in Okinawa and Kyoto.

The matte yellow body and the colors of the Shureimon gate of Shuri Castle and plants give the shirt an authentic and liberating design with a tropical feel.

Whether in the city or in the tropics, we want to enjoy an extraordinary experience that makes our hearts dance. This is one piece of clothing that will encourage such feelings.

You may hear the melody of sanshin (Okinawan traditional three-stringed instrument) from somewhere.

*Product photos have been processed to match the actual color as much as possible, but the color of the actual product may differ depending on your monitor settings, room lighting, etc.

*Because the fabric is dyed by hand by craftsmen one by one, it is not perfect like a machine, and there may be slight unevenness in color. I would appreciate it if you could feel the taste too.

[Printed and sewn by skilled craftsmen]

In order to express the complex patterns beautifully, the shirt prints are dyed using a technique called "hand printing" at dye factories with a long history and tradition in Japan. Hand printing is a method in which craftsmen carefully dye the cloth one by one by hand, and the pattern is highly reproducible and delicate colors can be expressed.

The dyed fabric is hand-stitched by Okinawan craftsmen one by one and then delivered to you.
