[Bringing Okinawa closer to you
]

We are releasing the latest work "WATARIDORI" from the "RYUKYU COLLECTION" series, which expresses Okinawa's "culture, nature, and spirit" in an Eanbe-like way.

Based on the story of "the journey of migratory birds delivering “Eanbe heart” from Okinawa to the whole world," the shirt is printed with illustrations of migratory birds and patterns of "Ryukyu Kasuri," a fabric that is a specialty of Haebaru. It is an aloha shirt with an all-over pattern and a border pattern.

The artwork was done by TK, a tattoo artist based in Okinawa and Kyoto who has worked on many of the "RYUKYU COLLECTION" items such as "Ryukyu Buyoh” and "Yamaneko Vietnam jacket."

Available in two colors: blue, which represents the wide sky of Okinawa, and green, which represents the rich nature. The chic and retro coloring makes it a design that can be worn in any situation.

[What is Ryukyu Kasuri? ]
Ryukyu Kasuri is Silk fabric that is a traditional craft of Okinawa, produced in Haebaru Town. It is characterized by the use of original designs based on design collections called Goe Zucho created during the Ryukyu Dynasty. There are said to be over 600 types of designs with motifs of animals, plants, household items, etc., and each one has a meaning. This shirt uses the designs of tuigwa (flying bird) and ichichibusa (five stars).

[Printed and sewn by skilled craftsmen]

The prints on the shirts are dyed using a technique called ``hand-printing'' at a dye factory with a long history and tradition in Japan, in order to beautifully express the intricate patterns. Hand-dyed printing is a method in which craftsmen carefully dye the fabric one color at a time by hand, making it possible to reproduce patterns with high accuracy and to express delicate hues.

The dyed fabric is then hand-sewn one by one by Okinawan craftsmen, and then delivered to you.
